Ugoos AM1 and UT4 boxes release.
Our team did great work on these devices during the last half a year. We tried to put all the knowledge and experience in these series, took into consideration all questions, remarks and problems that was in previous boxes.
Ugoos designers also perform a brand new style, make this series more sharp, austere, they reduce amount of colors and concentrate on details and angles. This task force us to choose new materials for the boxes: now this is aluminum structure with central plastic insertion. Enjoy it!
Performing these boxes, we take most stable SoC in Rockchip and Amlogic product lines. All boxes powered by Android 5.1 lollipop.
Stock firmware already contains an OTA update function and ready for getting new firmware packages.
Soon we will see dualboot firmware with Xubuntu.

I saw a teardown on the UT4. Very nice attention to cooling. Generous case vents on the bottom and side, the fan and some feet to raise the UT4 from the surface. Very well done Ugoos.

I have ordered an AM1 3 weeks ago and received it on the 23rd of January. The product looks sleek. Opened the box and amde initial configurations, connected to the network etc. There was an OTA update available. Downloaded it but update failed. Tried 3-4 times with no success. Then I donwnloaded the relevant update from Ugoos downloads page and that one failed as well. Basically error message says: "Error in /cache/update.zip status 7. Installation aborted." I rebooted the device with the stock firmware but not sure what to do next. Thanks in advance for any help.
